Liberia

     Books2Smiles is currently in the process of partnering with Restore Hope: Liberia to send books to underprivileged children in Liberia. 

     A 14-year civil war tore Liberia apart, then the 2014 Ebola outbreak wrecked its healthcare system, and now COVID-19 is taking its toll on Liberia as well. Poverty now runs through the country, with deaths due to hunger and thirst everyday. However, Liberians are full of hope, light, laughter and love. They continue to dance, sing, and try their best to rebuild from the ashes they've been buried in. 

     Books2Smiles is partnering with Restore Hope: Liberia, a non-profit that aids the Liberians in their mission to rebuild, to send books to Liberia. To support its people, to give them an escape, a chance to learn, but perhaps most importantly a chance to dream.
